A plastic factory located in Lahore, Pakistan caught fire. This happened as a result of a faulty electrical system, according to news reports. The company has since suspended operations. It is estimated that the damage will cost between $10 million and $15 million.
The raging fire at a plastic factory in Lahore on Tuesday night left no one dead but was undoubtedly tragic. Aside from the usual suspects, hundreds of relatives were left traumatised as the blaze spread from the factory to nearby residential buildings.

The fire originated from the plastic goods manufacturing plant at Nowshera Road in Gujranwala. A huge cloud of smoke was visible from afar, as the building was gutted by flames. Several fire tenders arrived at the scene in a matter of minutes. However, the rescue operation was briefly halted because of the risk posed by the raging fire.
An initial report suggested that the fire originated from a short circuit near the elevator. However, the most important information was the number of people trapped in the building. At least 300 people were locked in, including a handful of firefighting personnel.
